STORY OF A CHANGED LIFE: Ryan

Ryan started to volunteer himself in Youth Mobilization’s mobile school project. He is one driving the I-BIKE and in-charge of taking care of everything that is inside the I-Bike like Lesson Materials, pencils, crayons, etc. He is also in-charge of setting up the class and putting up tables and chairs for students.

He likes to mingle with the kids, play around with them and telling funny stories to them. He goes along with kids really well. Maybe because of his funny character that kids love. He always dreaming someday he will be a teacher for kids but he ends up thinking he wont be good enough because he don’t know how and what to teach. He doesn’t have proper trainings or a degree in school. These reasons hinder him to pursue his dream to be a teacher for kids someday.

Then Youth Mobilization went to a province nearby last week of April to hold a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for kids. He was assigned to tell a story which is part of the program for VBS. He was excited that finally, he has an opportunity to be one of the teachers in VBS. He studied his lesson well and put up creativity on how he could tell the story interesting for kids. He did the best he can in telling a story.

His hardwork and effort paid well. The kids enjoyed the story. Kids were eager to listen to him and were excited to learn. No wonder, many kids wants to be with him during break times. Kids even want to hug him and to play around with him. Kids love him.

This VBS gave so much encouragement to Ryan to pursue his passion to serve with the kids. From that time, I could even hear him saying, “I will take steps of faith closer to what God is calling me to do. From now on, I will make a stand to what opportunity lies before me”. He is planning to volunteer himself to be one of the teachers in Sunday School of his church. I know that his life was changed. He has something now in his heart that noone would never take it away from him.

All glory belongs to our God!
